Elevate our data platform with your full-stack prowess. We’re seeking a proactive developer with experience in .NET Core and EF Core/SQL Server, plus front-end expertise in VueJS (or Angular/React).

 

You’ll craft robust solutions across C#, Azure SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and Azure Functions (Durable Functions preferred), leveraging Azure services (App Service, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid) and IaC tools (Bicep, ARM, Terraform). With a solid grasp of security and event-driven architectures, you’ll design and deliver complex Azure-based solutions and contribute to scalable data platforms.

 

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, debug, and validate data product releases for the EduLake Platform
  • Shape and enforce incident resolution practices in Service Now and Demand Management
  • Deliver Level 2 support, drive projects, and ensure seamless system integration
  • Maintain legacy systems, optimize performance, and manage change and upgrades
  • Collaborate with Cloud/Data Engineers and stakeholders to connect and upgrade applications
  • Contribute across all project phases and maintain thorough documentation
  • Provide 3rd-level support and coordinate with external providers
  • Monitor trends, generate operational reports for leadership, and manage inter-dependencies
  • Stay ahead with new technologies to improve service delivery and challenge conventional thinking

About you 

  • Experience in developing REST APIs, lambda functions using node.js and JSON
  • Experience in developing FE SPAs using View.js or Anguler.js or React.js or Typescript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience in Database concepts
  • Experience in building products in the cloud (AWS)
  • Experience in configuring CI/CD process
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Degree in computer science or related degree or equivalent work experience in information technology 
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
