Senior Project Officer

About the role
Manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of diverse complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
This role sits within the Design Policy Implementation (DPI) team, which is part of the Design and Infrastructure Standards team directorate at School Infrastructure. The DPI team ensure key departmental policies are successfully translated and implemented into a wide variety of design activities.
As a Senior Project Officer, you will:
• Lead diverse projects from planning to delivery, driving outcomes on time and within budget
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide expert advice to guide project success
• Monitor risks, evaluate progress and report on results to ensure projects meet strategic goals
• Lead liaison activities with the wider department and reporting on policy and inclusion
• Contribute to continuous review and improvement of education spatial designs, for inclusion in the Pattern Book and EFSG
• Report on key initiatives, relating to Policy and Inclusive Design and Provide evidence-based input into operational requirements as they relate to design

About you
- Strong project management experience across complex workstreams
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and effective communication
- Confident managing budgets, risks, and competing priorities
- Analytical thinker with a focus on quality outcomes and results
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
