Join a dynamic network engineering team as a Senior Network Monitoring Specialist. This senior, security-focused computer networking role demands extensive expertise in both network engineering and network security. You’ll monitor, analyse, administer, and report on network activity to safeguard the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of a large, geographically dispersed department-wide network.

About you
- Industry certification in relevant technologies or equivalent industry experience
- You configure and support security tools such as firewalls, SASE, proxy servers, and patch management, and you routinely compile security event and compliance reports.
- You provide solid system support and thorough documentation for multiple security systems, maintain accurate records, and respond promptly per departmental protocols.
- You excel in sustaining current services while driving strategic initiatives within a complex, large-scale, geographically dispersed environment, collaborating effectively with internal and external teams.
- If you’re a problem-solver who thrives under pressure and loves securing diverse networks, you’re ready for leadership responsibilities in this role.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Participation in an after-hours on call roster as required.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
