  • Competitive remuneration ranging from $113,574 to $125,720 plus super & annual leave loading.

 

 

You’ll be the right hand to the Product Owner, shaping roadmaps and turning complex needs into actionable tasks that deliver real outcomes. You’ll analyse issues, identify user stories, and partner with stakeholders to craft cost-effective solutions that keep Education.NSW and our School Website Service running smoothly and on budget.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Analyse current and emerging issues and recommend remedial actions to mitigate risk.
  • Translate needs into clear user stories and tasks aligned with development scope.
  • Engage stakeholders to uncover opportunities for cost-efficient, impactful solutions.
  • Shape strategies for the enhancement backlog and help deliver timely releases.
  • Build and nurture strong internal and external partnerships to deliver on strategic requirements.
  • Train customers to improve understanding of delivery processes and capabilities.
  • Provide surge capacity to support the Service Lead for high volumes of level 1 and 2 requests.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders with competing priorities, ensuring on-time, budget-compliant service delivery.
  • Conduct rapid root-cause analysis to identify trends and limit impact.
  • Collaborate as the second-in-command to the Product Owner on roadmaps and feature requests.

About you 

  • Experience conducting agile meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning, review and retrospective sessions.
  • Proven experience in product development, project delivery and stakeholder engagements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proactive, solution-focused mindset. 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities. 
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Qualifications Project Management or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
  • Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who are not currently employed by the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC’s validity (up to 5 years).
