An exciting opportunity is now available for someone looking for a new challenge or the next step in their procurement career.

 

This role provides specialist procurement sourcing expertise for a range of Asset Management Minor Construction programs to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions. You will manage the tender sourcing stage including procurement planning, development and risk management activities to ensure the delivery of cost effective and value of money procurement outcomes in accordance with legislative requirements and NSW Government procurement objectives.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement sourcing. Exposure to construction and/or infrastructure will be highly regarded.
  • High level of self-direction and the desire to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to changing directions and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and be a strong team player.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in procurement or contract management and/or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee.
