About the role

 

The Administrative Support Officer will be providing support to Aboriginal Education and Communities (AEC) Directorate staff

  • Providing data entry and word processing support to staff when required.
  • Organising agendas, minutes, catering and venues for meetings.
  • Assisting in the administration and maintenance of records for the Unit to provide staff with timely access to documents, information and data that supports the AECD's operations.

About you –

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Assisting with the administration and maintenance of Unit records to ensure staff have timely access to documents, information and data that support AECD operations
  • Performing general clerical duties, including photocopying, assembling files, and preparing correspondence and reports.
  • Handling telephone enquiries and liaising with personnel across the Department.
  • Provide support to the AECD staff to ensure that competing work priorities are met within agreed timeframes.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
