About the role
This role utilises extensive business unit knowledge to provide a broad range of administrative services to support the unit’s program of work and facilitate the delivery of business operations.
Specifically, the role will:
- Provide a range of administrative and support services, including financial records management, routine correspondence, travel, meeting, and event coordination, to support the effective operation of the team.
- Respond to and resolve complex enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information, and the timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes, and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.

About you
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a capacity to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies
Essential requirements of the role
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
