About the role
- Support the delivery and maintenance of HR systems
- Respond to system queries and provide user support
- Liaise with stakeholders to clarify business requirements
- Test and validate system enhancements and configurations
- Document processes and contribute to user training materials
This role sits within the HR System Solutions team, which is responsible for the effective operation, enhancement, and support of human resource information systems across the department.
As an Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting end users, identifying and resolving system issues, testing enhancements, and contributing to improvements that streamline HR processes. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the systems meet business needs and support the department’s broader workforce objectives.

About you
- Skilled in supporting HR systems and resolving user issues
- Confident analysing business needs and testing system changes
- Able to document processes and prepare user guidance materials
- Strong communicator who works well with technical and HR teams
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC’s validity (up to 5 years)
