About the School Workforce Directorate
The School Workforce Directorate supports an education system of more than 2,200 schools and nearly 100, 000 employees across NSW. We are responsible for the recruitment of all permanent roles within NSW public schools and partner with key stakeholders to provide strategic workforce management advice and support. We lead the delivery of attraction, engagement, quality, and supply programs for pre-service and accredited teachers and support strategy, policy development and system improvement through a focus on people data analytics and insights.
About the role
The Business Support Officer provides executive support and administrative services to the School Workforce directors to facilitate the delivery of business operations in meeting departmental objectives.
The successful candidate will:
- Have relevant experience providing general administrative support.
- Demonstrate experience in maintaining administrative records.
- Attend meetings, take minutes and record action items and follow ups.
- Maintain and update databases.
- Be organised with the ability to tackle multiple competing priorities.

- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
