  • 2X Vacancies - Temporary Full-Time up to 2 years
  • Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available
  • $137,742 Package includes salary ($110,266 - $122,058), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

The role supports the data collection and management activities to enable the development and implementation of key early childhood education policies and programs.

About you

 

You will play a crucial role in building databases, automating data processing, developing scalable data pipelines, and helping to drive data-driven decision-making at the Department. Your work will directly contribute to meeting state and national requirements while ensuring continuous improvement in data access, governance and quality.

 

The preferred candidate will:

 

  • Have demonstrated experience in R, Python and SQL programming.
  • Have proven experience in working with relational databases e.g. Azure Data Lake, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
  • Have well-developed programming and analytical skills.
  • Proficient working knowledge and experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI/Tableau embedding visualisation best practices to tell the story.
  • Proven exposure to project management of large and complex projects working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be a result driven individual who has a high attention to detail and thrives on providing the desired outcomes.
  • Have a commitment to ethical uses of data, including an understanding of privacy, data governance and data sovereignty.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
