  • Location: Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available
  • Salary: $149,739 – $173,174 + Super + accrued flex leaves 

 

 

About the role

The Manager, Training Market Date Services oversees the development, maintenance and user support for Training Services data systems and applications and the provision of information and reports to internal and external users. You will:

 

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team managing core data systems and reporting tools.
  • Provide daily coaching, support, and strategic guidance to foster a collaborative and high-achieving team culture.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality system enhancements, user support, and data solutions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand data and application needs and deliver practical, impactful reporting and system solutions.
  • Act as the vital bridge between business users and technical teams, translating complex requirements into effective solutions.
  • Leverage data insights to identify risks and opportunities that inform decision-making, policy development, and funding strategies.
  • Balance technical detail with strategic oversight, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals.

About you –

You’re an experienced leader with:

 

  • A strong background in overseeing end-to-end delivery of system enhancements and data services, from business requirements through to user testing, help desk support and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support staff through change, while fostering a culture of customer-centred service and ensuring the team consistently delivers timely, high-quality support and information.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to confidently lead technical teams but also distil complex technical issues into clear, meaningful insights for non-technical audiences.
  • A strategic mindset, capable of connecting the dots between data/system issues and broader business challenges and use that insight to influence decisions and priorities.
  • Proven experience delivering system enhancements and support in a complex environment.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC’s validity (up to 5 years)
