- Salary: $156,309 Package includes salary ($125,693 - $138,510), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
About the role
The role is responsible for undertaking complex analysis and the provision of accurate and timely statistical advice for the design of the training market and development of policies across the wider skills development sector.
The insights and analysis the role undertakes will drive the uplift of student outcomes through improving the performance, quality, accessibility and public confidence in the skills development sector.

About you
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data collections are conducted successfully.
- Capable with managing research and projects to support the development of new approaches to the sourcing and use of data to support improvements in skills and training sector policy.
- Showing knowledge in undertaking complex statistical analysis and reporting to support the Director and other senior officers in policy development and representation at major committees and forums and to identify areas of risk, and possible mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Experience using at least one specialised data and/or statistical software.
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
