About the role
The Senior Data Analyst leads data collection and management activities to support the development and implementation of key early childhood education policies and programs.

About you
- Demonstrated experience in R, Python and SQL programming.
- Proven experience in working with relational databases e.g. Azure Data Lake, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
- Previous work experience with a strong focus on data collection, data engineering, data analysis and reporting will be highly regarded.
- Proficient working knowledge and experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI/Tableau embedding visualisation best practices to tell the story.
- You have well-developed programming and analytical skills.
- You possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You are a result driven individual who has a high attention to detail and thrives on providing the desired outcomes.
- You have a commitment to ethical uses of data, including an understanding of privacy, data governance and data sovereignty.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline including computer science, engineering, statistics and mathematics or demonstrated equivalent knowledge or experience.
- Proven experience in managing large and complex projects working with multiple stakeholders.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
