About the business functional area

The Insights & Analytics team sits within the People Data and Analytics Directive and focuses on producing analytics and data understanding and visualisation for the purposes of storytelling and providing an evidence base for decisions. The team also functions to advise and work with stakeholders to help in the clarification of the story being told, and in answering relevant questions.

 

About the role

The Senior Data Analyst undertakes data analysis and reporting and maintains appropriate monitoring to ensure compliance with defined people management frameworks, policies and procedures.

About you

  • You will be collaborative, agile, and disciplined about delivering outcomes for all students of NSW.

  • You are a seasoned data analyst with previous experience identifying and preparing datasets with a keen focus on maintaining compliance reporting.
  • You have a natural ability to collaborate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
  • You are confident using data storytelling and visualization to present insights clearly and persuasively.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or and equivalent experience.
