  • Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available. You may be required to travel occasionally to attend Court.
  • Salary ranges from $120,859 to $133,183 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading

 

About the role

You will be leading a team of investigators and authorised officers responsible for managing complex investigations into serious legislative breaches and conducting complex compliance monitoring and quality assessment in the early childhood education and care sector and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

 

This role sits within our Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority branch, which works to enhance child outcomes and safety across 6,000 services in NSW.

 

You’ll manage the investigation of serious matters, prepare prosecution cases, represent the Authority in court proceedings, while also implementing enforcement actions, monitoring service compliance and quality and supporting staff training to uphold the integrity and safety of the early childhood sector.

About you

  • Extensive experience in conducting and managing investigations into sensitive non-compliance matters
  • Proven experience managing teams, and balancing a high volume of matters based on the safety, health and well-being of children to ensure timely responses
  • Background in early childhood education, child protection or law enforcement
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a capability to navigate complex regulatory environments
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment
  • A valid driver licence
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
