  • Multiple Ongoing full-time opportunities
  • Location: St Peters and Riverwood Offices with 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home in consultation with line manager.
  • Starting salary from $97,027 to $107,059 plus employers’ super contribution and annual leave loading


About the role

The Administrative Officer supports the work of the Public Schools Division, which is dedicated to maximising student achievements and cultivate a culture of success and learning. 

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Provide accurate and high-level executive and administrative support to senior officers and executive.
  • Provide quality customer-service and manage ministerial correspondence and triaging enquiries. 
  • Deliver a range of competing and conflicting priorities and meet deadlines, while identifying emerging issues that impact teams’ ability to meet business objectives.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder relationships to support smooth business operations.

About you

The ideal candidate for this multi-faceted role will be highly organised, adaptable and demonstrate a strategic and customer focused approach. You will also have:

 

  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in technology including data entry, word processing and spreadsheet to manage reports, presentation and record management effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of initiative to identify emerging issues and committed to continuous business improvement. 
  • Effective and strong communication and ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various level.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
