Asset Services Officer

  • Ongoing Full-Time
  • Location: Sydney, located in Eveleigh’s office with flexible working arrangements available
  • $115,655 Package includes salary ($93,295 - $102,941), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • Talent pool will be created from this recruitment for future temporary and ongoing Asset Services Officer vacancies.

 

 

About the role

Provide a full range of asset services to a group of schools within the assigned area of the regional Asset Management Unit (AMU), including the implementation of facilities management programs and maintenance works, to support high quality, professional service delivery.

About you

  • Construction Project Management or Trade experience preferred but not essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Current Drivers licence and a willingness/ability to drive within and around Sydney.

 

Targeted Question 2

This role requires you to provide a full range of asset/facilities management services to a group of schools. Provide an example of a time when you have delivered high quality customer service. (300 words maximum)

 

Targeted Question 3

There are often times that staff in an asset management unit respond to asset related emergency situations at schools. Describe a situation where a problem occurred that was not anticipated and describe what you did and what was the outcome. (300 words maximum)

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC’s validity (up to 5 years)
