About the role

 

The Senior Contract Management Officer manages contract and supplier performance for multi-modal textbooks and library books, ensuring compliance with obligations while enhancing commercial outcomes and reducing administrative burdens on schools.

 

This role involves overseeing multi-modal textbook and library book sourcing, ordering, and payment processes for timely delivery, building strong relationships with stakeholders for customer-centric procurement, and developing supplier partnerships to identify process improvements and product innovations.

 

The role will conduct supplier induction programs to clarify obligations, monitor compliance with agreements, and stay informed on industry trends. The officer will be responsible for the generation of reports regarding contract compliance, financial expenditure, and customer satisfaction to support strategic decision-making, all while maintaining confidentiality and managing diverse stakeholder needs under tight deadlines in a dynamic procurement environment.

About you

  • Substantial demonstrated contract management and procurement experience or experience in the textbook or related industry
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to cultivate effective stakeholder relationships
  • Strong analytical for monitoring compliance and preparing comprehensive reports
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

 

Essential requirements of the role

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee.
