Senior Asset Services Officer

  • Ongoing Full Time Role
  • Location Wagga Wagga
  • $137,742 Package - includes salary $110,266 - $122,058, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

 

About the role

  • Provide asset services to a group of schools within the Asset Management region
  • Delivery of capital works projects and all aspects of facilities management
  • Support timely and effective project delivery
  • Scope writing, estimation of project costs, manage budgets & contract documentation
  • New established role within a growing team.

About you

  • Construction background and project management principles
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Stakeholder management
  • Enjoy working on a range of different projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
  • Persistence and determination
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current NSW Driver’s License and ability to travel across the assigned Asset Management (AMU) region of Southern NSW
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC’s validity (up to 5 years)
