  • Location Wollongong with the flexibility to work from different regional office locations
  • Package includes salary $113,574.00 - $121,845.00 p.a., plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

 

 

About the role

 

  • Provide high-quality financial analysis to support program priorities and inform evidence-based decision making
  • Undertake analysis and review of financial data, including Program budget adjustments
  • Provide advice and guidance to management and staff
  • Develop and maintain records and databases, complying with relevant information management policies and procedures
  • Monitor and review expenditure, and identify and emerging issues and risks, to enable effective program evaluation
  • Develop, maintain and review processes, tools and frameworks to support continuous improvement and innovation

About you

 

  • Self-motivated and committed individual with a continuous-improvement mindset & strong deadline discipline
  • Critical Thinker with the ability to problem solve
  • Preferred experience in Project Capitalisation & Budget Adjustments
  • Extensive experience in Financial Reporting, Cashflow Forecasting and month end reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

 

Essential requirements of the role

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and/or equivalent experience 
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
  • NSW Drivers Licence
